Nhut Le is an American TV actor with Vietnamese origins. He is currently best known for his portrayal of the DC villain Judomaster in HBO’s Peacemaker series. However, he had also taken on challenging roles prior to this. Nhut played a small role in the Disney series ‘Raven’s Home’ as the character Nerdidorken in 2017. He also played the character of Eddie in a 2017 mini series titled ‘Jenny Trump’. Apart from that, his career in American television started off in 2015. Nhut started off his career with not-so-popular series like the Kroll Show that aired from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, he also dabbled in a small role as the character Goblin in the series ‘Bitch Please’.

Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this actor has often been ridiculed for his short stature even back home. At the age of 6, Nhut migrated to Los Angeles with his parents and enrolled into the Upright Citizens Brigade school. After school, he attended The University of the Arts, Philadelphia and went forth with his acting career. The initial days of his acting career started off with a C-rated movie titled ‘Martial Science’ in 2013. This movie was a comedy spoof of the high rated Jeane Claude Van Damme 1988 movie Bloodsport. Did you know that the name ‘Bloodsport’ itself connects Nhut to the greater DC Extended Universe? This is because the second installment of Suicide Squad featured the famous DC supervillain Bloodsport. This same movie also feature John Cena as the Peacemaker (who co-stars with Nhut in HBO’s Peacemaker series).

  • When auditioning for the part of Judomaster, Nhut had no idea which role he was trying out for. After being selected he was told a different character name. However, one fine day he was surprised when the crew asked him to measure up for the superhero costume of Judomaster. Nhut said in an interview that he was surprised to be playing such an important villain in the DC universe.
  • Nhut had finished shooting for the Peacemaker series in June 2021. This was before James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’ movie released in theatres worldwide. Hence, Nhut got invited to the Red Carpet premiere of ‘The Suicide Squad’. In an interview he said that it was the first Red Carpet event of his life.
