The wielder of the Prabhastra controls light energy. In this movie, Amitabh Bachchan wields the Prabhastra in the modern day. He possesses the power to manipulate light itself. It will be interesting to see how the veteran actor fulfills this challenging role of an aged ancient superhero.
3. Jal Astra – Deepika Padukone
Once again, director Ayan Mukherji brings together Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone on the big screen. Although the latter will not play the former’s love interest (inlike in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani), she will possibly play a pivotal role in this movie. The wielder of the Jalastra is said to control the power of the rivers and the oceans. It is somewhat similar to Aquaman of the DC Comics and Namor of the Marvel Comics. However, in the Astraverse, the wielder of the Jalastra will most likely be called Jaldevi, taking inspiration from Hindu mythos.
4. Nandi Astra – Nagarjuna
Brahmastra is one of those historic collaborations between Bollywood and Tollywood. Hence, you can expect to see renowned South Indian movie actor Nagarjuna playing the role of Anish. Anish is the modern day wielder of the Nandi Astra in the Astraverse. This grants him the strength of a thousand bulls, making him a formidable warrior. It will be interesting to see the duo of Nandi Astra and Vanar Astra combat the forces of evil in this moive.
5. Pawan Astra – Divyenndu Sharma
Pawan Astra is the astra that possesses the power of the wind. It is speculated the Mirzapur actor Divyenndu Sharma will be playing the role of this character. While the actor has denied having any connections to this movie, fans are highly sceptic of such anti-publicity. After all, most superhero movie fans know the gimmick pulled of by Andrew Garfield before the release of Spiderman: No Way Home. However, it is yet to be seen who has actually been cast as the Pawan Astra. Going by the Brahmastra Wiki, Divyenndu is most likely to be the Pawan Astra.
6. Vanar Astra – Shah Rukh Khan
The Vanar Astra is the Astra that provides the wielder with the power of the divine monkey. According to Hindu mythology, this power is the mighty supernatural powers of Pawanputra Hanuman. While this is the direct inspiration of Director Ayan Mukherji, some fans speculate that it might be more similar to Hong Kong movie – The Monkey King franchise. What is most interesting is that the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan himself plays the character wielding the Vanar Astra.
7. Brahm Astra – UNKNOWN
The master of all the 6 aforementioned Astras is the Brahmastra, also known as Brahmshakti according to the Brahmastra Wiki. Director Ayan Mukherji has said in his recent Instagram story that the wielder of the Brahmastra will be revealed in the final installment of the Astraverse franchise. Meanwhile, he has confirmed that the wielder of all the 6 Astras are members of a secret society known as the Brahmansh.
