1. Who plays Shaktimaan?
Comic-con India in 2018 teased a Shaktimaan movie in the making. There were rumours of Ranveer Singh playing this popular Indian superhero back then. However, little did we know that this would become a reality 5 years later. Yes, that’s right! As per our research, Ranveer Singh has signed a 3-film contract with Sony Pictures India to play the crimson savior on the big screen.
2. Who is going to be the main villain?
The biggest arch-enemy of Shaktimaan has always been Tamraj Kilvish. He is one villain who keeps coming back to wreck havoc on the hero’s hometown. There is a reason why we think he is going to feature as the villain in the first installment of Sony’s Shaktimaan. The teaser trailer talks about a reign of evil and shows an ominous thunderbolt with changes in the weather. This is usually the typical scene when Tamraj Kilvish arrives (controlling all 5 forces of nature).

This movie is being co-produced by Sony Pictures India and Bheeshm International, the studio that owns the rights to the Shaktimaan character. Bheeshm International is owned by Mukesh Khanna, the actor who played the original Shaktimaan on the Doordarshan series. So, there is a high possibility that the veteran actor himself will take up the director’s cap.
5. Will there be a Shaktimaan multiverse?
Sony Pictures India has acquired partial rights to the character. Hence, there is a possibility that Shaktimaan might just be featured in the Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures multiverse. Moreover, with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness releasing soon, the possibilities are limitless! Having considered that, there is also another possibility.
