Alexander who is also famous online as Technoblade was a 23-year-old American youtuber and internet personality who was known for his Minecraft videos and livestreams on his YouTube channel. He was also involved in Dream SMP. He had 14 million subscribers in his channel as of July 2022. In June 2022, he died of metastasized cancer at the age of 23. He started his first YouTube channel on October 28th, 2013 and his content involved mostly about the video game Minecraft. His popularity increased in 2019 where he got multiple wins in Keemstar’s Minecraft Monday tournaments. He used to regularly participate in Minecraft championships along with the other YouTube gaming personalities.

His career got a kick start at a very early age when he gained millions of subscribers in his gaming channel in YouTube. In 2020, Technoblade became a member of the Dream SMP Minecraft server which he frequently created content on. Technoblade had a friendly rivalry with a fellow Minecraft YouTuber named Dream being associated with the server. They had a contest to achieve the recognition of the best Minecraft player across their fanbases via a series of duels in player versus player which was organized by fellow Youtuber MrBeast in which Technoblade won. He raised over $300,000 for the Sarcoma Foundation of America in September 2021 through a charity livestream in which he passed $250,000 goal within 2 hours. In one of his videos, he beat Minecraft in hardcore mode using a racing wheel controller in 2017. He was cited as one of the best Minecraft players in the content creation space by Cale Michael of Dot Esports.
Technoblade – Cause of Death
In august 2021, Technoblade disclosed his diagnosis after noticing a bump in his shoulder and pain in his right arm. His struggle with cancer has been previously publicized with his fanbase. Later that month, dream donated US$21,409 to cancer research. Technoblade also encouraged his viewers and subscribers around the world about the Covid protocols and to wear masks as his immunodeficiency was relevant to this at that time. His therapist stated that his arm needed to be amputated and his chemotherapy and radiation therapy proved to be unsuccessful. On 30th June, 2022, his father uploaded a video on his channel where he made the announcement of his death from metastasized cancer. He read the last message which was written by Technoblade in his final hours and mentioned that the future proceeds from merchandising and videos would go to the sarcoma foundation of America and to his sibling’s college education. Technoblade was planning to make a recorded video of himself prior to his death but could not do due to his poor medical condition.
