Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Sept 19: Flora Asodia (11 years old) has always wished to become a District Collector. Ahmedabad DC Sandeep Sagale was determined to fulfil her wish. DC Sagale also celebrated Flora’s birthday at work.
Who is Flora Asodia?
A girl aged 11 who has a brain tumour was made a collector in Ahmedabad on Saturday. The name of this girl is Flora Asodia, and she was born on Sept 25, 2011, in Sargasan, Gandhinagar of Gujarat. Flora has been suffering from a brain tumour for the past seven months. She was good at studies, and her wish was to become a collector. She had surgery last month, and her condition worsened.
According to the sources of ANI, “Make-A-Wish Foundation” in collaboration with Sandeep Sangle, Collector of Ahmedabad, sent a message to her parents requesting to make their daughter collector for 1 day.

Flora and her family were taken to Sargon by the collector in his official vehicle. Flora also received the Guard of Honour. The collector celebrated her coming birthday on Saturday. He blessed her with his blessings and said that he wished her well. The Collector also thanked everyone who made her dream come true that day.
The collector’s bureau also gave Flora many gifts. A Barbie doll set was given to Flora, along with a tab. The cake cutting ceremony, especially for Flora, was done in the collector’s office for her birthday celebration.
At the collectorate, Flora distributed aid under the Vidva Sahay Yojana and Vahali Dikri Yojana schemes. “Our daughter was always a good student. Her mother Apurva used to tell her that she wanted to help others and do something.
Flora’s Father’s words for her 1-day collector daughter
Apoorva Asodia, Flora’s Father, said that Flora is currently in class VII, and she has been suffering from a brain tumour for seven months. She has wanted to be a collector since childhood.
“Before she was diagnosed with a brain tumour, Flora was excellent at studying. My daughter became a collector today thanks to Mr. Sandeep Sir, Make-A-Wish Foundation. It was a great pleasure for me as well to see my daughter’s wish fulfilled”.
Her Father thanked everyone for helping her realize her dream.
